CS Lewis once said that "grief is like the sky, it covers everything." In recent weeks, our family has found that this is so very true. It seems that there is no right or wrong way to travel this path of grief. I have created this blog in hopes that some day we will be able to look back on our journey and see written proof that our great God never leaves us. God is good all the time.

Nothing to say

..............but I miss her desperately

I miss those sweet floppy ears....

....chubby finger
...... precious little toes
.....ever messy hair
I miss it all

  1. How much, much, much you must long to reach inside those pictures and touch her, hug her! Unbearable. Beyond words.

My heart aches with you every time I see her face - and many times throughout the day, even when I am not looking at her picture. It is far worse for you and your family. To say "I'm sorry" doesn't come close to covering it.

Missing your sweet girl with you today,

  3. I share in your loss and will keep you and your family in my prayers.

And thank you for telling Laynee's story, I admire and respect you for your honesty about yourself, your feelings and about what happened. My son has drowned while he was with his father and stepmother and they just make as if nothing have ever happened. They refuse to speak to me, they show no regret and when people ask them how Daniel died they say that it doesn't matter.

I really value your thoughts. You give me another insight and help me to find some peace.

    Love and hugs
    Alison

I must also tell you that I feel a special connection to Laynee as we share the same birthday xxx
