CS Lewis once said that "grief is like the sky, it covers everything." In recent weeks, our family has found that this is so very true. It seems that there is no right or wrong way to travel this path of grief. I have created this blog in hopes that some day we will be able to look back on our journey and see written proof that our great God never leaves us. God is good all the time.

Precious, just precious. I know this is an emotional day, as we too has to face a birthday without Ethan here on earth with us. We also went to his grave, which is thousands of miles away from where we presently live, and we released orange balloons. I am pretty sure that those balloons made it to heaven, and Ethan enjoyed them. :o) I'm sure Laynee enjoyed her balloons you sent up. I will never view a simple item such as a balloon the same...ever again. God bless you all...you and my other bereaved friends have been heavy on my heart. HUGS~Shannon
